Jill (Kemerer) Roberts

Born in Central Ohio and painting at the early age of five, Jill's artistic gift and desires quickly became evident. Jill was inspired to create growing up in rural surroundings with the
rich colors and ever-changing scenery of the landscapes, weather and wildlife.

She quickly became a well-known young artist in her community, through her artistic achievements, including airbrushing vans, motorcycles and other vehicles, while beginning
a career in painting murals on walls and scenes on canvas.

Jill attended the prestigious Columbus College of Art Design, majoring in Advertising Design. Courses included four years of anatomy, figure drawing, color theory, perspective,
painting, 2- and 3-dimensional design and art history.

In the early 1990s, she created the "Westerville Academy of Art" where she gave painting and drawing classes to youth and adults. In California, she created "Art Plus Vino," the first
paint-and-sip formatted classes/parties in Riverside County and Temecula wine country. She has demonstrated at nearly 400 events.

Inspired by Southern California's landscapes, weather, wildlife and surroundings, she is fascinated by the play of light and shadows. Painting pet portraits, horses, wine country themes
and objects in still-life settings provide an ongoing appeal and challenge. Her favorite media is acrylic because of its brilliant color and flexibility.

The process and journey of creating and applying paint never cease to amaze, entertain and inspire her to more significant challenges.

Jill is also a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow and enjoys riding horses with her family.

Jill hopes to leave a legacy of art and creative inspiration in her family.
