"Claire's Cracked Pot"
Inspired by the dramatic play of light, shading and cast shadows, Jill Roberts enjoys finding and painting edges on organic objects like cracked pottery. The warm earthen colors of terra cotta and adobe create contrasts with the cool areas with shades of blues and hints of greens and purples. Textures and edges have been created with several size brushes and strokes. The original painting is created in acrylic paint on stretched canvas.
